Lee Iacovou  Web Designer & Developer

Lee is a Web / Graphic Designer & Web Developer from Brighton, East Sussex who has been assisting with WBC Cares UK since meeting Scott Welch upon walking into the Brighton & Hove Boxing Team gym 3 years ago as a part of the WBC Academy. As a professional with many years experience & a huge boxing fan the project has been a great fit for Lee, who says:

"WBC Cares UK is such a fantastic charity which mixes together several issues which are very close to my heart & provides assistance through Boxing, which is a huge passion of mine. My distant past saw me experience issues covered by our Youth at Risk program as well as homelessness & mental health issues. Whilst I am happy that these issues do not personally affect me anymore, it is very important for me to give back where I can & this is an excellent way to do so."

A message from our UK Chairman

“It is a huge honour for me to have been asked to help develop the WBC Cares program in the UK. Having had a successful career for myself, nothing brings me greater pleasure than to help develop the next generation of boxers & to be able to help our communities through the power of boxing & team spirit. We will be raising money for charities through events, fundraisers & sponsorship whilst also providing safer boxing training through our carefully prepared ‘Safer Boxing Programme’. This was a chance to become involved in a project & team which can really make a difference to peoples lives & one that I relish.”
