Youth Boxing

Supporting Young People

WBC Cares UK believes that boxing has the power to change lives and it is our mission to bring boxing and the benefits it gives to as many young people as possible.

The physical elements of the Youth Programmes are focused on improving technical and defensive techniques, from blocks to counter-tactics. We also support young boxers’ psychological development. The emphasis for this part is to teach skills such as discipline and respect which can be implemented into the everyday lives of the participants. Young people are shown how to adopt a more compassionate and disciplined approach to life.

Little Champs

Designed for 5 – 10-year-olds, our Little Champs Programme introduces the benefits of boxing to children in a fun and safe way. With just 47% of children meeting the government guidelines for taking part in sport and physical activity, our programme creates an opportunity for younger children to stay active, make new friends and begin their boxing journey.

Access to regular sports can improve a child’s overall health, build confidence and regulate emotions. We want children to be excited about sports and motivated to get involved, which is why we give bronze, silver, and gold certificates as they progress through the programme.

Boxing Awards

WBC Cares UK in partnership with Boxing Awards is delivering the Boxing Award Programme in educational settings, bringing boxing to young that may not have accessed it before.

This programme is designed to introduce and develop students into the sport and rules of boxing. The fully qualified and experienced coaches provide a positive educational experience by introducing students of all ages, gender and abilities to the fundamental skills of Boxing.
